Greener practices and energy management.
Unirac continuously strives to improve our energy performance, water usage and maintain a zero emissions manufacturing facility. In 2009, Unirac will take our superior energy and water management a step further by:
- Producing renewable, clean energy by installing solar on our roof
- Replacing lighting in our warehouse to reduce energy consumption while providing more light to improve productivity
- Reducing water consumption by adding re-circulatory sediment tanks to our manufacturing equipment.
In any size or type of organization, the common element of successful energy management is commitment. Unirac has formed an internal Ecorac Focus Group, who will regularly assess energy performance and implement steps to increase energy efficiency.
The purpose of the Ecorac Focus Group is to promote sustainable business practices within Unirac by considering resource and energy saving solutions in our products and practices, and implementing them when feasible.
