Efficiently secure beams to the roof using 3” Concealor screws. Concealor screws can be driven into the structure with a cordless drill. No pilot holes required. 2 Flange Connections come with or without the integrated butyl backing allowing you to use your preferred sealing method.
Use in conjunction with standoffs, QuickMount PV, or when directly installing on composite shingles using a lag bolt. Both connection options utilize Clickfit technology, allowing attachment to SOLARMOUNT-I beams without any tools or additional fasteners.
Unirac’s standard standoff design offers more elevation for greater airflow under a finished array. SOLARMOUNT-I standoffs are accompanied with all hardware needed including a Single Flange Connection.
Made from cast aluminum, the tile hook attachment provides SOLARMOUNT-I with a cost - effective solution for barrel or Spanish tile roofs. All required lag bolts and hardware are included and 1 Flange Connection.
The Unirac Flat Flashing is designed to enhance and improve the installation in the market place today. Using a compression plate over the flashing assures a positive seal while allowing the installation of the flashing, compression plate and mounting structure’s attachment to be completed in a single step.

No, but with the use of two screws in place of one lag bolt, the connections’ overall strength will be stronger. Refer to the SolarMount-I™ engineering guide for pull-out values of both lag bolts and concealor screws.
closeWhen installing the beam with the 2 Flange Connection in place, do not apply downward pressure until you have the connection’s final location. This will protect against the butyl sticking to the roof before you are ready.
closeFor systems without standoffs, the bottom of the module is approximately 2″ above the roof surface using the 1.0 rail and 3.75” using 2.5. Choose your favorite standoff , or Quickmount PV for accessibility, heat dissipation and clearance.
closeThere is more than one answer. Solar modules lose efficiency with increased heat. The roof slope, material, direction and climate are factors in the amount of heat your roof produces. It is always preferable to elevate your solar modules off the roof to allow natural convection. Some solar incentive programs require a minimum distance. SolarMount-I™ offers a range of 2”-8” off the roof decking standard.
