UniRac announces the #1 solution for membrane roofs with the FastFoot™ attachment option. For use with our SolarMount, SolarMount Light, SolarMount Heavy Duty and SunFrame mounting structures, FastFoot features Eco-Fasten technology by the Alpine Snow Guard Company. Targeting residential and light commercial flat and pitched roofs, FastFoot offers the flexibility of attaching to metal, concrete and wood, and it installs on all EPDM, PVC, TPO and built up roofs. In the past, penetrating rubber roofs has been a problem, if not prohibited completely. FastFoot offers a self sealing feature for membrane roofs. All major membrane roof manufacturers will be able to review each installation, and certify the attachment does not void their membrane warranty. Previous solutions have been more expensive and time consuming to install. Increased install speeds translate to lower labor costs for both the installer and the customer. Simple screw attachments speed up the installation on normal built up roofs.
Initial installations using SolarMount rails resulted in very strong aesthetics, since FastFoot looks more flush against the roof. The flashing with the FastFoot installation looks professional without the long-term risk of leaks.
Attachment alternatives are available from UniRac separately to allow for customization. Be sure to order the appropriate flashings, screws, anchors and spacers. Anchors are used for concrete roofs. Use ferrules when insulation is between FastFoot and the roof.
